On Fridays. the uniform is a perfect way to dress for success at school, but students may were other clothing that meets the School District’s dress code policy.
There are several opportunities to purchase school uniforms; you can find additional information on the “Back to School” tab on the school website.
Anyone needing assistance in obtaining uniforms can contact Caitlin Cribbs, the Guidance Counselor, at 813-975-7390. The PTA has established a clothes closet with donated uniform items. Although there is a limited number of items and sizes, the PTA will make every effort to assist you.
At dismissal time we request everyone’s cooperation in picking up his or her children on time. Please plan ahead with your child so he/she will know what to do on days when it is raining at dismissal. We are not equipped to
have students calling home or parents calling the office with messages. Please be assured that your child will be supervised. Their safety is our utmost priority. Your patience and cooperation will be greatly appreciated on these
days. In the event of inclement weather, students may be held in the classrooms at the discretion of the administration.
Parents are requested to call Tampa Palms Elementary and leave a message when their child is absent. Call 975-7390to report child’s absence. Please leave a detailed message including “child’s name”, “your name”, “teacher”,
“reason for absence”, and “date”. Messages are compared with our daily attendance data, and phone calls are made to confirm undocumented absences with parents.
It is important that all students arrive promptly to class. Our teachers teach from bell to bell. If a student is tardy, not only do they miss valuable instruction, but their arrival is disruptive to instruction already in progress. A
tardy slip from the office is necessary for admittance to class when the student is late.
